Dog Parks Of Aurora
Aurora is a great place to be a dog owner! From the sunshine year round that makes the potty breaks that much more bearable to the amazing dog-friendly community and of course some of the best dog parks in the nation, Aurora is a great place to be a dog and a dog owner.
So our team at Aurora Family Dog Training picked out a few of our favorite dog parks in the area- not a choice that’s not easy to make.
So let’s get to it!
Grandview Dog Park
Our favorite park is Grandview dog park located near the Quincy Reservoir. Grandview Park is a medium sized park at around 5 acres of off-leash area. The park is open from sunrise to sunset and we’ve found that there is almost always someone at the park.
The park has all the basics including water, potty bags, and trash cans. But there are some features you won’t find in every dog park. One of our favorites is a separate section for small dogs to run around without having to run into larger dogs.
The park is located at:
17500 E Quincy Ave
Aurora, CO 80015
Cherry Creek Off-Leash Dog Area
If you and your canine need some real room for running and the Cherry Creek State Park is for you. This park makes Grandview look small! The off-leash area is a massive 107 acres of fenced in land perfect for high energy dogs.
Even better, a daily pass costs only $2 but an annual pass is just $20. Well worth it if you ask us!
The Cherry Creek Dog Off-Leash Area (DOLA) is located at:
S Entrance Rd
Aurora, CO 80015
Bicentennial Park Off-Leash Area
The last one on the list is the Bicentennial Park. This is Aurora’s newest park and is much smaller than the other two. In fact, it is only one acre!
The interesting part of this park is that it’s still in its trial phase. That means that the Aurora government is looking for feedback about the park. So if you’re looking for a chance to fulfill your civic duty and get your dog some exercise this is the park for you!
The park is located at:
13600 E Bayaud Ave
Aurora, CO 80012
