Why Training Your Own Dog Is So Difficult
You might be asking yourself, “Do I really need a trainer?” While we might be a little biased- our answer is certainly yes!
Part of the problem with training your own dog is simple: you love them too much! Now, this typically isn’t a bad thing but in the case of training, it can make it difficult to objectively view the behavior of your dog.
On the other side of things, your dog has already learned different ways to get away with more. They know you and they know how to get exactly what they want from you.
By bringing in a professional dog trainer, you bring an objective set of eyes on the situation.
Our Favorite Englewood Dog Parks
Englewood is positioned right in the middle of several urban areas. As a result, just about everything you need is only a short drive away. Including dog parks!
Dog parks can be a real test of obedience training for your dog and even the most well-trained dogs can suddenly get a little crazy when presented with a field of other dogs! Still, they are a great place for your dog to exercise and get some energy out. Here are our top two Englewood dog parks!
Jason Park
Located at 4299 S Jason St, in Englewood Jason Park has a little bit of everything and isn’t just for dogs. The park includes courts for basketball or tennis along with a playground and a pavilion. Additionally, there is an off-leash dog area that is just the right size!
Centennial Park
Despite the name, this park is located in Englewood (1800 Floyd Ave in 80013 zip code) but isn’t a dog park in the traditional sense as it doesn’t’ actually have an off-leash area. Still, the 37-acre park has plenty of room to for dogs people to run around in. We to include since this park is also a great place to train basic manner for dogs.
